A Changeroom Story from Tadi, Manager, Park Royal Shopping Centre
“I had a mom with young twin daughters come to the store, wanting to purchase a tankini or an inexpensive one piece suit for herself. During our conversation, the mom told me she had a few bathing suits from Swimco that she bought previously, but her husband mistakenly took them to a charity shop with their donation bag. While trying some pieces on she fell in love with a new arrival from Sea Level called the Checkmate Tankini Top. Unfortunately, she had to pass on the suit because it was a bit over the budget for this unanticipated expense. I asked her to call us the next day because we were starting our sale, and we could try on some of the sale tankini selection instead.
After the young family left, another lady that was trying on suits at the same time finished up her appointment. While she was checking out she inquired if the lady in the fitting room bought the tankini because it looked so good on her. We told her that she will be back to try on a few more options. While chatting we told her the story of how the mom had lost all her bathing suits. To our surprised after telling her the story this customer said she would have gladly paid for the tankini and decided to leave a $150 gift card for the mom to use when she came back. We were so excited to share this news with her the next day when she returned. Needless to say, that she was moved to tears and absolutely amazed at this unexpected gesture of kindness of a woman supporting and understanding another woman. Especially because her young daughters were with her, and this was such a great moment showcasing the goodness of complete strangers to them. She was able to get her beautiful Checkmate Tankini Top that will now always have a special place in her heart and she promised to pay it forward in the future. Stories like this just make you smile ear to ear and are definitely one of the many reasons I love my job.”

On June 1st Swimco expanded into Vancouver and opened our newest location in Park Royal Shopping Centre. We want to thank all of our loyal customers who joined us on our Grand Opening and every day since then. We love being back in B.C. and are looking forward to growing our community.
